I am writing to give you feedback on our experience at
the Victoria Fertility Centre (VFC) with one of your MOA (medical office assistant)
students from the Insignia College.
A few months ago you contacted us requesting that one
of your MOA students do a practicum at VFC. Given the specialized and sensitive
nature of our work in dealing with couples struggling with infertility, I was
concerned about such students working in this environment. So it was with some
trepidation that we greeted our first MOA student from Insignia.
I have to tell you that this has been an excellent experience
for all of us at VFC. Your student arrived well informed, motivated, respectful
and eager to work. She was clearly superbly trained and could not wait to demonstrate
her skills. Although we were not looking for an extra MOA - we were so delighted
with your student that we have offered her a permanent position with us and
I am glad to say that she has accepted and is now with us full time.
We will be more than happy to have future MOA students
do practicums at VFC - and will look forward to an ongoing association with
Insignia College.
I have no hesitation in recommending to my medical colleagues
that they favourably consider applicants who have come from Insignia College.
