In this program, students will learn how to organize a medical office, as well as be trained to prepare and administer basic medical office tests. Students will learn how to assess and prioritize patient appointment requests, and respond to patients’ basic questions about their medical condition and prescriptions. In addition, students will learn general office procedures and administration including the use of medical billing software package. Students will also receive WHIMIS, First Aid and CPR training and certification. This program upholds the highest possible level of standards and it keeps current with the industry and employer requirements. Upon graduation, students are prepared to begin career as an Admitting Clerk, Emergency Room Admitting Clerk, Medical Secretary, Medical Transcriptionist, Medical Receptionist, Medical Billing Clerk or Medical Office Assistant.
